It's a Saturday morning at 10:30am and I've been sitting here banging away on my computer to put together a couple of big sales proposals. I've recently discovered the wonders of Powerpoint. That's made it a lot easier to put together quick yet in-depth presentations in a hurry.
The three or four of you are getting shortchanged by the upheaval in the media marketplace that I am following. I'm trying to catch a fast-moving train... running alongside of it, trying to grab a handle to hop on.
But alas, it's traveling too fast so every once in a while I gotta sit down and blog to you anyhows. It's 6:06 on a Saturday evening and I'm hanging out at the WJOB studios on the campus of the Purdue Commercialization and Manufacturing Excellence Center. And get this, the three or four of you, you can get a lot of things done when no one's here.
That includes blogging to you, which doesn't happen much anymore. You've been replaced by Facebook Live. I'm sorry about that, but in the end I've been searching for a way to tell the story of My American, Radio Life. And telling it to you here on this blog is only telling a part of the story in one of many storytelling methods. I'll be doing a 3.5 hour radio show in 50 minutes. Ryan hasn't scheduled any guests for the first two hours, so I'll have to rely on my general wit and will of personality to carry through. Sometimes those are the best shows. Sometimes you get caught out in the middle of the lake without a life raft. You can't see land.
