Sunday, 5:47am.It's 5:47 on a Sunday morning and I've been lying in bed for a good hour listening to the birds chirp and hoping like hell that it's cooler today. Yesterday it got up to 97 degrees and it was really humid and if you're not used to that kind of heat, you can walk around all day overheated.
"Oh my god you're burning up," Alexis said after a good night peck on the cheek. 12:37am on a WednesdayAlexis had a Hispanic Bar Association meeting, so I went to longtime sponsor Giovanni's Restaurant for a plate of baked trout and asparagus and then came home and went to sleep by 7pm. That's the life of a rough and tumble Midwestern morning radio host.
The only problem with going to bed that early is that you wake up in the middle of the night alone. There's only the three or four of you to talk to. 12:01am on a TuesdayI had to go quiet. That was the only way.
I know that I promised to share with the three or four of you My American, Radio Life... and that I have been negligent in doing this for a few weeks. But in the meantime, we: 1. launched a new radio station 2. launched a video network |
I run radio stations and a streaming video network in Hammond, Ind., and write this blog.
