WJOB AM 1230, Hammond, Ind. - since 1924
JED owns AM 1230 WJOB in Hammond, IN. It's a heritage station, which means it started in the early days of radio.
JED and wife Alexis Vazquez Dedelow bought WJOB out of bankruptcy in 2004. With the help of many, they rebuilt the station.
The team has added an FM station, a streaming video network, apps, blogs, podcasts and high-tech studios on the campus of the Purdue Northwest. It's a thriving local media that is a cornerstone to northwest Indiana and Chicago's southland.
