10:25 Saturday morning. MX has been calling in to the radio shows on WJOB since day one that we bought the station in 2004. Once, while we didn't have any money to hire anyone else so Alexis and I ran the station ourselves, MX drove his motorcycle into the hallway outside of the studio and revved his engine to all 250 of the cc's available on his dirt bike. He did this while I was on the air. Our fault. We left the front door open.

MX was once a big deal on the motocross circuit. My cousins, Keith and Kevin Brown, were also once a big deal on the motocross circuit. My late uncle Charlie drove them around the country to race. One of their biggest heroes growing up?

You guessed it. MX, then known as Perry Stabler, union steelworker. He's gone from that rather honorable profession to 1. calling in to the radio station and 2. making political cartoons of a sort. I in no way endorse what some may find as harsh criticisms and questionable philosophies behind the cartoons. Still, there's no denying that he's gone from motocross champ to steelworker to political cartoonist and, one way or another, he's been pretty good at all three.
