"Smells like a movie," I say. "I miss movies. It's all dark and the movie just takes you in."
"Yes. It's not the same watching from bed. You fall asleep halfway through."
It's Sunday afternoon. Alexis and I are sitting in the backyard listening to Wampum Radio and eating popcorn.
"Smells like a movie," I say. "I miss movies. It's all dark and the movie just takes you in." "Yes. It's not the same watching from bed. You fall asleep halfway through." It’s Sunday night, May 17th, at 10:48 pm. The three or four you just finished watching “The Last Dance” about the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan. I did not. There’s too much to do to get ready for the morning.
According the Johns Hopkins Corona Virus map, 88,554 Americans have now died from corona virus. Tomorrow morning, we open up for in-restaurant seating in Lake County. Jeff Bridges from Bridges Scoreboard Lounge in Griffith is schedule for the morning show. So is Rodney Langel of Langel’s Pizza in Highland. There’s an election for Congress in a little over two weeks. It’s surreal. There can be no campaign rallies, meet and greets, shaking hands at the train station. I can’t even hold a debate. Monday, May 11 - It’s always eerie at this time of the day, 4:44am, sitting at Debbie Wargo’s typewriter writing a few notes to the three or four of you. It’s quiet. There’s no one in the Purdue Northwest Commercialization and Manufacturing Excellence Center but me. There’s no one operating the cameras, taking phone calls, posting graphics, adjusting sound. It’s just me… and a few stray cars and trucks going down Indianapolis Boulevard just feet from where I sit.
