You guys laugh
when I say
on the air that
you rescued me.
You know what? I could write a thousand poems and I’m pretty sure that outside of the Calumet Region, no one’s gonna know my name. Let’s cough up a radio poem right now.
You guys laugh when I say on the air that you rescued me. Once you’re up, you might as well do something productive.
There’s light somewhere in a jewelry store for those of you who remember the vagaries of old East Chicago. With a past full of cherry blossoms, you might as well wait your turn in line. It’s 8:40 on a Tuesday morning. I just finished doing the radio show. Then I rushed home and made some chile quiles and ate them with apple sauce and a swig of Trop 50. That’s a pretty good quality of life.
Doing a radio show and eating chile quiles are two of my favorite things to do on a Tuesday morning when there isn’t any truth left in the world. Lies rule. Truth does not. It’s 9:12am on the Friday after Thanksgiving. I don’t do the morning radio show on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Today, it was Kat Marlowe and Rick Kubic doing the show. I got up to go work out at 6am and drove around for a while listening to them. The workout place was closed. Doesn’t open until 8am. Ric and Kat talked about holding a towel between your buttcheeks after a shower and re-gifting things with price tags on the bottom from stores that closed a long time ago. |
I run radio stations and a streaming video network in Hammond, Ind., and write this blog.
